Pawar Hair Dressers

If you walk down Aranyeshwar Road towards Parvati, you will find us at 47/30 in Tawre Colony. We have been cutting hair here at Pawar Hair Dressers for a long time. The shop is not very big, just a couple of chairs and some big mirrors that have seen better days. Every morning, we sweep the floor and get the towels ready. Most of our customers are folks from around the colony who have been coming to us since they were kids. Now they bring their own children in for a trim. It is nice to see the familiar faces. We talk about the local news, the cricket scores, or just how the weather is getting too hot lately. There is always some music playing low in the background, usually just the local radio station. Sometimes the water pressure acts up, or the electricity goes for a bit, but we just wait it out. It is a simple life here in Pune. We do not have those fancy chairs that lean all the way back, but people do not seem to mind. They come for a quick cut or a shave and a bit of a chat. The shop gets really busy on Sunday mornings, so that is when we have to work the fastest. It is just us doing what we know how to do, day after day. You won't find us online much, we just prefer talking to people face to face.
