Pavitra Dry Fruits

I start the day early here at Pavitra Dry Fruits. The shop is right on the corner of Chinchwad 9th Main. Usually, the first thing I do is sweep the front step because BEML Main Road gets quite dusty with all the morning traffic going past. We are tucked into HAL 3rd Stage J/12, which isn't the biggest spot, but it fits what we need. I spend a lot of time moving the heavy bags of cashews and walnuts around to make sure everything looks alright on the shelves. Sometimes the sun comes in really bright through the front window and I have to adjust the shade. People walk by on their way to work and some nod while others are just in a hurry. The jars are heavy and my hands get a bit dry from handling the packaging all day. It is mostly just me and the sound of the fans humming in the background. Around noon, it gets a bit quiet and I usually sit on the small stool behind the counter. I look out at the road and watch the bikes zip by. The floor is grey stone and it stays cool even when it is hot outside. I keep a ledger on the desk to track what comes in and what goes out. It isn't a fancy place, just a regular shop with shelves full of stuff. By evening, the streetlights come on and things get busy again.
