Passion Clothing Company

Passion Clothing Company operates out of 101 BK Apartment on Deccan College Road. It’s a bit different because we are in an apartment building in Yerawada. It doesn’t feel like a cold corporate office at all. It feels like a home that’s been taken over by clothes. Every room has something in it, whether it’s boxes of finished shirts or stacks of fabric waiting to be cut. We walk around the piles of stock all day. The kitchen area is where we keep the kettle and some snacks for when we take a break. Being in Pune, the weather is usually okay, but we still keep the windows open to let the breeze in from the college side. You can hear the students and the traffic outside on the main road. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when a big delivery arrives. We all have to jump in and move things around to make space. It’s a small group of us working here. We know each other’s families and what everyone likes for lunch. We don't have fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of our notes are just scribbled on pads or stuck to the wall. We just make sure the clothes get out on time. Sometimes we stay late when a big order is due, just drinking tea and finishing up the packing in the quiet of the evening while the street noise dies down.
