Our place is right above Rupam Sweets in Kusai Market. If you’re standing at the Karve Nagar last bus stop, you can see the sign pretty clearly. It’s a busy spot in Hingne Budrukh. Most days, the air smells like frying samosas or fresh jalebis coming from downstairs. We’re in Survey No. 23. You have to walk up the stairs, and sometimes they need a good sweep because of the dust from the street. The rooms aren't huge, but we’ve managed to fit enough benches for everyone. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes with all the bags and books laying around. We are quite close to the State Bank Nagar area too. People often use the sweet shop as a landmark when they call for directions. The windows look out over the market. It’s never really quiet here because of the buses pulling in and out constantly. We have a small office area where we keep the records and a water dispenser that always seems to run out at the wrong time. The fans hum all day long. Some of the benches have names carved into them from years ago. It’s just a regular tutorial center. We don’t have fancy carpets or glass walls. It’s mostly just us, the students, and a lot of chalk dust on the floor by the end of the evening. It’s a simple setup that works for what we do without any unnecessary frills.
