Palace Hair Saloon

Palace Hair Saloon is right on the busy Camp Road in Pune. You can find us very close to the Good Luck Hotel, which is where everyone goes for their tea and bun maska. Our shop has been here for years, and we’ve seen the Camp area change from a quiet place to a very crowded one. It’s always noisy outside with the buses and cars, but inside it feels like a different world. We have the old-style heavy chairs that you don’t see much anymore. They’re a bit worn out but they’re still the best for a proper haircut. We don’t do anything fancy like the modern salons in the malls. We just offer basic cuts and shaves for men who want things done right. A lot of our customers have been coming to us for decades. They come in, sit down, and we don’t even have to ask what they want. It’s a small shop and it can get quite hot in the afternoons, but we have a couple of strong fans. We usually have the newspaper lying around for people to read while they wait. It’s a bit of an old-fashioned way of doing things, but people seem to like it. We’re just a part of the daily life on Camp Road, doing our work one person at a time until it is time to close up.
