Palace Hair Cut

This hair shop is located at 2130 on the busy Solapur Raod. We are in the Camp area of Pune, specifically the part known as New Modi Khana. Pune gets very crowded and noisy around here during the day. Palace Hair Cut has been in this particular building for a long time now. It is a very straightforward barber shop with no nonsense. We still have the old-style heavy chairs that work perfectly fine. The floor is almost always covered in bits of hair by the middle of the afternoon because we get so many walk-ins from the street. I keep the radio playing some old songs most of the time to drown out the traffic. People coming from the Camp area usually stop by on their way home from work. It is a small space, so you might occasionally have to wait on the wooden bench outside if the chairs are full. We do not have a receptionist or any kind of fancy booking system here. You just walk through the door and wait for your turn. Solapur Raod is always loud with the sound of horns and trucks, but it is home to us. I have seen many kids grow up in this neighborhood and now they are starting to bring their own children here for cuts. We do basic cuts and shaves. No fancy styling or expensive treatments. Just the usual stuff. I try to keep the scissors sharp and the towels as clean as I can. It is a simple life for us here.
