Pagare Farmer Producer Company Limited

Pagare Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Rajur. We use Ashabai Shamrao Pagare’s place at Survey Number 882 as our home base. It is a simple setup because we spend most of our time out in the dirt anyway. Rajur is a decent place for agriculture, but it has its challenges like anywhere else. We have the usual problems with water and the price of fertilizer going up every time we turn around. We started this company to try and help each other out. It is better than trying to fight the market by yourself. We aren't polished business people; we are just folks who know how to grow things. Our meetings are usually just us sitting around talking about the next planting cycle or how to fix a leaky shed. There is always work to be done. Sometimes the days are long and the sun is brutal, but that is just part of it. We do not have a big office with air conditioning. We have a roof that keeps the rain off our heads and a place to keep the books. Most of our neighbors are doing the same thing. We just try to keep things honest and work hard. If the harvest is good, we are happy. If not, we just wait for the next season and try again. It is a cycle we have lived with forever.
