We operate out of the Shreya Yashwant Housing Society over in Navi Peth. It’s a decent spot in Pune, not too far from the main roads but tucked away enough that it stays relatively quiet. Being in a housing society means we see our neighbors every day, which keeps the atmosphere pretty casual. We aren't a massive firm with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small group of us here doing accounting work. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they live nearby and saw the sign. We spend our days looking at ledgers and filing returns for local businesses and families. Pune has grown a lot, but Navi Peth still feels like old times in some ways. Our office is functional. There are piles of paper here and there, and the tea guy comes by at the same time every afternoon. We don't have a receptionist in a suit or anything like that. If the phone rings, whoever is closest picks it up. We just try to get the work done right so people don't have trouble with their taxes later on. Sometimes it gets stressful when the financial year is ending, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t make a big fuss about things. It’s just a regular local business helping other local people keep their money matters in order without any extra drama. The windows look out onto the trees in the society courtyard, which is nice.
