You can find us in Narayan Peth, tucked away in Sitaphal Baug Colony. We share the space, and it’s a typical Pune neighborhood with narrow streets and lots of activity throughout the day. The office is at number 113, c/o R D Pataskar. It’s a bit of a maze to get here if you aren’t used to these streets, but once you’re inside, it’s actually quite quiet. We are a small team of architects. Our desks are usually covered in rolls of tracing paper and various types of pens. We still like to draw by hand sometimes before we move everything onto the computer. It feels more real and connected to the project that way. The building we are in is older, so it has a bit of character, even if the stairs are a bit steep for some people. We spend our days designing houses and commercial spaces for people in the city. It’s a lot of talking to clients and then sitting in silence for hours while we draw. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing outside and it gets a bit loud, but it’s part of the charm of being in Narayan Peth. We don’t really do big advertising; most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a friend. We keep things pretty simple. There isn’t a fancy lobby or a coffee machine that makes lattes. We just have a kettle and some basic biscuits for guests. It’s a practical place for people who want results.
