Our office is located in Flat Number 6, Building Number 2 of the Navsundar Cooperative Housing Society in Aundh. It’s a residential area, so it feels a lot more like a home than a typical workplace. Working at Option One Mortgage Company here in Pune means we are surrounded by families and regular neighborhood life every single day. You can often hear kids playing outside or neighbors chatting in the hallways while we are sitting at our desks working on mortgage papers. It’s not a sterile corporate environment at all, which we actually prefer. We have a few desks squeezed into the rooms and files stacked up on the wooden shelves. Sometimes we have to move a chair just to let someone pass through the room. It’s a very practical way to run a business, and it keeps our feet on the ground. We handle a lot of paperwork and phone calls throughout the day. People in Aundh know us as the neighbors who do the mortgage stuff. We don't go for big advertising or anything like that because word usually gets around just by talking to folks. Pune has grown so much lately, but this little corner of 411007 still feels like a real community. We like the quiet pace here, and it helps us focus on the small details of what we are doing without too many distractions from the main road traffic. It’s a good way to work.
