Omraje Krushivikas Producer Company Limited

Our address is at Gat No. 39 in Guru Pimpri, which is in the Ghansawangi area of Jalna. The company name is Omraje Krushivikas Producer Company Limited. We are a small collective of farmers from around Guru Pimpri. We started this because we felt that working alone was getting us nowhere. In this part of Jalna, we grow things like cotton or soy, depending on the year. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s our life. We spend a lot of time discussing things like fertilizer or when to start the sowing. Our office is just a room where we keep our files and sit down for a glass of water when the sun gets too hot. We don't have a big corporate structure. Every one of us is a farmer first. We know the struggles of getting a fair price for what we grow. By being a producer company, we try to help each other out with the logistics. It’s a lot of back-and-forth between the fields and the market. Sometimes the roads are bad or the rain doesn't show up, but we keep at it. We aren't here to give you a sales pitch. We just want people to know that we are here in Guru Pimpri, working hard on our land. It’s a community effort and we all pitch in however we can. Whether it's driving a tractor or counting bags, everyone has a job to do every day.
