Omkar Maths Academy

Omkar Maths Academy is based in Sangavi, specifically in Nikunj Apartment. We are over in Shitole Nagar, quite close to Nrusinh High School. It’s a very local, residential part of Pune. The academy is just a regular unit in the apartment building where we’ve set up our classrooms. It’s a modest space, nothing fancy at all. We mostly focus on math because that’s what we know best. The neighborhood is full of families, and since the high school is just down the road, it’s a convenient spot for the kids to come to after their regular classes are over. We spend most of our time here working through problems on the board and checking homework. It’s a quiet life, really. The apartment building is an older one, so it has that lived-in feel which is nice. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who handle everything from the teaching to the cleaning. It’s a very hands-on way of doing things. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when the bigger batches come in, but we make it work with what we have. People in Shitole Nagar know where we are. We don't do any advertising; we just rely on the fact that we’ve been here for a while and people see us every day. It’s just a small, local academy trying to do a decent job with the students. We see the kids grow up and move on, and that is just how it goes.
