N.V. Xprt Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are out here in Indapur, specifically in the Kati area. Our place is H.N.654. If you know the Pune district, you know Indapur can be quite a hub for farming stuff. N.V. Xprt was started because a bunch of us realized we could do more if we worked as one group instead of everyone just doing their own thing. It’s a lot of coordination. Every day someone different stops by the office to talk about the latest harvest or what’s happening with the transport. Things can get a bit messy with all the boots coming in and out, but that is part of the job. We don’t have some big corporate office in the city. We stayed right here where the work happens. Sometimes the roads around here get a bit dusty in the summer months. We handle a lot of logistics for the farmers in this part of Maharashtra. It’s not always easy keeping everyone on the same page. There are days when the phone won't stop ringing and days when it’s totally silent. We just take it as it comes. Usually, there is a lot of discussion about the prices and where the produce is going next. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We are just a local group keeping things running for the folks around Kati and Indapur. It’s a lot of work, but it feels right to be doing this together in our own community.
