Nupur Interiors

Budhwar Peth is one of those areas where you really have to watch where you’re walking because it’s so crowded. Our shop, Nupur Interiors, is at number 648. We’ve been here for years, and the building shows its age. We deal with interior stuff, so you’d think our own place would look amazing, but it’s actually full of wood shavings, paint cans, and catalogs from 1998. We spend most of our time out at work sites anyway, so the shop is more of a place to store tools and meet people. It’s not a polished showroom. We don't have those fancy 3D walk-throughs or high-tech gadgets. We usually just sketch things out on a piece of paper and show the client. It’s a very hands-on way of doing things. People in the market know us, and we know them. If we need a specific type of hinge or a certain shade of varnish, we just walk a few doors down and get it. The traffic in Budhwar Peth is a nightmare, so we try to get all our deliveries done early in the morning before the streets get blocked. We aren't trying to be the most modern firm in Pune. We just like building things that last and making sure the cupboards don't squeak. It’s practical work for practical people, and that’s why we’re still here after all this time.
