Nupur Beauty Parlour

Nupur Beauty Parlour is located in Nana Peth which is one of those older parts of Pune that always feels alive. Our specific spot is near Gadi Adda and that is what we tell anyone who is trying to find the shop for the first time. The 411002 area has a lot of narrow lanes and it can be a bit confusing if you are not from around here. We are just a local parlour where women from the neighborhood come to get their hair done or just to talk for a bit. The building is an older style and we have tried to make the inside comfortable enough for anyone who walks in. Being near Gadi Adda means there is a lot of activity and sometimes the smell of the market reaches us when the wind blows the right way. We have a small sign outside that has been there for years and it is a bit faded now from the sun. The floor is made of old tiles and we sweep it many times a day because of all the feet coming in and out. It is not a quiet place because Nana Peth is never truly quiet but that is just how it is. We start early in the morning and stay until the street lights come on. There is no big team here just a couple of us working and making sure the shop stays running. It is a hard job but we are used to it by now.
