Our office is over at New Apsara Apartment, unit 7-C, right on Boat Club Road here in Pune. It is a nice part of town, though parking can be a bit of a headache if you come at the wrong time. We have been working out of this apartment for some time now. It feels more like a home than a stiff office, which we actually prefer. We handle placement services for all sorts of people. The day usually starts with checking messages and seeing what new jobs have come up in the city. Since we are in the 411001 area, we are quite central. We have a couple of computers that have seen better days and a kettle that gets used way too much. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that right now. Most of our day is spent talking to candidates and trying to figure out where they can work. It is not always easy because the job market moves so fast. We don’t use any complicated systems, just our notes and a lot of phone calls. Sometimes clients come by for a chat, and we sit around the old wooden table we’ve had since we opened. We don’t do big presentations or anything like that. We just look at what is available and see what we can do to help people find their next spot. It is a quiet life on Boat Club Road most of the time.
