About Novelty Mobile Electrical Reparing – Gifts in Pune
Working at 46-8 in Kharadi means dealing with a lot of dust and a lot of broken electronics. I spend most of my time hunched over a desk with a magnifying glass and a soldering iron. People bring in phones with screens that look like spiderwebs. Sometimes it's a fan that stopped spinning or a mixer that smells like it’s burning. Kharadi has grown so much lately, there are always people rushing around outside the window. The shop is small and smells a bit like hot plastic and old wire. I keep the spare parts in these little plastic bins, but they always get mixed up when I am in a hurry. It’s not just mobiles; I try my hand at whatever electrical thing comes through the door. Some days I can fix ten things, other days one stubborn phone takes five hours. My hands are usually a bit dirty from the grease and the tools. I don't really have a big staff, just me and occasionally a cousin who knows his way around a circuit board. There’s a tea stall nearby that does good business with me. Customers are usually in a hurry to get their stuff back. I tell them it takes time to do it right, but they still call every hour to check. That’s just part of the job here. The workbench is a mess, but I know where everything is. It gets dark in here when the clouds come over, so I use a big desk lamp.
