No 1 Parlour Choice

No 1 Parlour Choice is located at Shop No 4 on J M Road. We are situated in the Shivaji Nagar area of Pune, right near Balaji 86. It’s a prime location but that also means it’s very noisy and congested outside. Our shop is one of those places where you just walk in and feel at home. It isn't a massive establishment, just a cozy unit where we handle all sorts of grooming and beauty tasks. We spend most of our time chatting with customers while we work. The mirrors are old, and the chairs have seen better days, but they are comfortable enough. We get a mix of people coming in—some are just passing through J M Road, while others are regulars from the nearby residential pockets. Mornings are usually spent cleaning up and setting out the towels. By midday, we usually have a few people waiting. We have a small television in the corner to keep people entertained while they wait for their turn. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is a relief during the hot Pune summers. We keep our supplies tucked away in cupboards to save space. It’s a bit cramped when it gets full, but we manage. Working in Shivaji Nagar means there is never a dull moment. We just keep doing our thing, day in and day out, at Shop No 4.
