Our office is tucked away in Mazda Nest, right on the Tingare Nagar Road in Dighi. If you know the Hotel Samruddhi, then you basically know where we are. It is a busy stretch of road, and there is always something happening outside. Inside, it is a bit different. We have tables covered in plans and laptops that never seem to turn off. Being an architect or a planner in a place like Pune means you are always busy. We spend half our time in the office and the other half out at sites getting dusty. It is not always glamorous. Sometimes we spend hours just arguing over where a light switch should go or how a kitchen layout works. We have been in this spot for a while, and the neighborhood of Dighi has grown up around us. We see the same faces at the local tea stall every afternoon. Our space is filled with samples of tiles, wood, and paint charts that sometimes fall over. It is a bit of a squeeze when we have a full team in, but we make it work. We don't have a fancy receptionist or anything like that. Usually, you just walk in and one of us will look up from a drawing. It is a honest way to make a living, helping people figure out their homes and offices. We just do the work and try to stay on top of the schedule.
