New Diamond Hair Dressers is located at 1049 Shivaji Road. We’re right at the Swargate Corner in Shukrawar Peth, which is a very busy intersection in Pune 411002. There’s almost always a lot of noise from the buses and cars outside because of the Swargate bus stand being so close. Our shop has been around for a good while. It’s a traditional hair dressing spot. We have the old-style chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. The mirrors are large and the floors are easy to sweep. We get a lot of people who are just passing through Swargate and need a quick haircut before they catch their next bus. Then we have our regulars from Shukrawar Peth who have been coming to us for years. It’s a no-nonsense kind of place. We don't have air conditioning or fancy lights. We just have our scissors, clippers, and a bit of talk. The shop is small and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. Being at the corner means we see everything that happens on Shivaji Road. It’s a busy life, and we are usually on our feet from the moment we open until we pull the shutters down at night.
