New Anmol Varieties is tucked into Keshav Complex over in Dhanakawadi. We sell all sorts of things, which is why we call it a variety store. One day someone comes in for a plastic bucket, and the next they need some stationary or a small gift for a birthday. We try to keep a bit of everything on hand so people don't have to go far. The shop isn't huge, so we have to stack things pretty high on the shelves. Sometimes you have to look twice to find what you want, but I usually know where everything is buried. Dhanakawadi is a lively place, and Keshav Complex always has something going on. We get a mix of people coming in—students from nearby, housewives, and people just passing through. I started this place to have something of my own, and it’s been a steady job ever since. It’s not about being the fanciest shop on the block. We just want to have the things people actually use. If a toy breaks or a pen runs out, they come to us. We talk to the customers, hear about their day, and keep things moving. It’s a very normal way to make a living. No corporate rules here, just common sense and a bit of hard work to keep the place running. We're just here every day, opening the shutters and waiting to see who comes in.
