Down in Kothrud, at D 15, we have our little setup. It’s not a big fancy office, just a workspace where we get things done. We usually have fabric scraps or paper samples scattered across the tables because someone is always in the middle of a project. The light comes in through the window at a weird angle in the afternoon, making us squint a bit while we work. It’s mostly quiet here, except for the sound of scissors or someone moving chairs around. We started out with just a couple of desks and now the place feels quite full. People from the neighborhood often drop by just to see what we are currently making. We don't have a big sign outside that flashes, just the name on the door. It’s a bit tucked away, which is nice because it stays relatively calm compared to the main streets. We spend a lot of our time talking about colors and textures, trying to figure out what fits best. It’s a lot of trial and error. Sometimes a design doesn't work out the first time, so we just start over. It’s just the way the work goes. We keep the kettle going for tea and just keep at it until the day is done. It's a bit messy sometimes with all the bits and pieces lying around, but we know where everything is. We just focus on the task at hand and see where it goes.
