Navnirmiti Womens Farmer Producercompany Limited is based in Lamkani village. Our office is located at House Number 547. It’s out in Dhule district. We are a group of local women who decided to take charge of our own farming business. Usually, the men in the family handle the selling, but we wanted to try and do it ourselves this time. It’s been a big learning curve for all of us. We meet up at the house to discuss what needs to be bought and what needs to be sold. Lamkani is a small place, so everyone knows exactly what we’re doing. We don't have a big budget for fancy equipment or office furniture. We just use what we already have. The weather in Dhule can be really dry, so we talk a lot about irrigation and saving every drop of water. We are quite proud of what we’ve built so far. It’s not just about the money, it’s about having a real say in our daily work. We manage the accounts and the transport together as a group. Some days are definitely better than others. Sometimes the crop isn't what we hoped for. We just keep going anyway. Our address is right there in the village if anyone wants to stop by for a chat. We aren't doing this for show. It’s just how we support our families now. Every woman in the group brings something different to the table. We’re just trying to make it work.
