We are a group of women here at Navidisha Mahila Farmer Producer Companylimited. Our office is set up at House Number 00 in Koldhyachapada, which is under the Morhanda post office. If you know the Mokhada area in Palghar, you know it can get pretty busy with everyone out in the fields. We started this because we all live around here in Thane and wanted to organize our farming work better. It’s not a fancy setup or anything. Most days you’ll find us talking about the crops or how the rains are looking this year. Being in Koldhyachapada means we are quite a bit away from the big city, so we rely on each other a lot. The weather in Mokhada can be tough, but we have been doing this for a long time now. We aren't trying to be some big corporate thing; we just want to make sure the work we do on our farms gets handled right. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, but we sit down at the house and get through it together. It’s just how things are done here. We focus on the daily tasks, looking after the land, and making sure everyone in our group is on the same page. It’s simple work, but it takes a lot of time and effort from all the women involved. We are just local people trying to make a living out of the soil we have here in the 401604 area.
