Nakoda Gift House is located at 607 Tara Arcade. We are right near the Shani Mandir in Raviwar Peth. If you know Raviwar Peth, you know how crowded and narrow the lanes can get. It’s always a hustle here. Our shop is in the middle of all that action. I’ve been working here for a long time, and the shop has seen a lot of faces. We stock all kinds of gifts, from small trinkets to bigger items for festivals. The Shani Mandir is a major landmark, so people use that to find us. Space is tight in Tara Arcade, so we have things stacked quite high. I have to be careful when moving things around. It’s a bit of an old-school way of doing business. I know most of the other shopkeepers on the street, and we often share a tea in the afternoons. The Peth area has a specific vibe, very traditional and busy. I don't use any fancy computers for my accounts, just the old ledger books. People come here because they know we’ve been around and we have a bit of everything. It’s dusty and noisy outside, but inside the shop, it’s just me and my piles of gift boxes. I like the chaos of the market, it keeps me busy. There’s always someone coming in looking for a last-minute gift. It can be exhausting by the time evening rolls around, but seeing the street quiet down is a good feeling before I lock the shutters.
