Naikwadepatil Rural Farmer Producer Company Limited is basically just a group of us from around Dahigavan Bk in Ghansawangi. We started this at Atul Paraji Dahibhate’s place, house number 143. Most of us here have been farming these lands for years, and it eventually made sense to stop trying to do everything alone. It’s hard work, especially when the weather doesn't go your way or when the market prices are all over the place. We just wanted a way to organize things a bit better for the local farmers in our taluka. There isn’t much to it other than trying to get our supplies together and seeing if we can get a better handle on where our produce goes after harvest. People in the village know us, we are just neighbors working on the same soil. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. It’s mostly just meeting up and talking about what needs to be done for the next season. The rural life here in Ghansawangi keeps us busy enough as it is. We deal with the daily chores, the water issues, and the crops. This company is our way of making sure we don't get lost in the shuffle. It's about the families here and the fields we’ve always known. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every day. We aren't doing anything special, just farming and sticking together.
