You will find us in Ganesh Peth, specifically inside the Ganesh Market area near Gangadham Chowk. Our address is 601 Ganesh Peth, located near Dali Ali and Kasturi Chowk, right across from the Vittal Mandir. The shop is usually filled with the earthy smell of raw and roasted cashews. We have large sacks piled up against the walls, and the wooden counters are worn smooth from years of use. It’s a traditional market environment, so it’s always loud with the sounds of vendors calling out and bells ringing from the temple across the street. We spend our time sorting through the nuts, weighing them out for customers, and bagging them up. It’s dusty work and can be quite tiring on the back after a few hours. The shop doesn't have much in the way of decoration, just some old shelves and a small picture of a deity with some dried flowers. We get all sorts of customers, from housewives buying in bulk to people just wanting a small snack. During the festival seasons, the place gets incredibly crowded, and we barely have time to sit down. We use old metal scales that we’ve had for a long time. It’s a basic, honest way to earn a living in a part of the city that hasn't changed much over the years. We just keep doing what we know best and stay busy.
