Shapuri Steel Furniture is located at Shop No. 4, Gut No. 272/3, right near the Moshi Tol Naka. It’s a spot where a lot of trucks and cars pass by every single day. Our shop is filled with all kinds of steel items like cupboards, racks, and beds. You can see the metal frames stacked up if you walk inside. We spend a lot of time welding and painting. The smell of fresh paint is pretty common around here. Being near the Tol Naka means it’s always noisy outside, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We started this shop because there was a need for sturdy furniture that lasts a long time. Steel is better than wood for many things, especially if you want it to survive the weather. Our floors are usually covered in metal dust and we have tools scattered across the workbenches. We don’t have a fancy showroom with bright lights. Customers just come in, look at what we’ve built, and tell us what size they need. Sometimes we make custom pieces if someone has a specific corner in their house they need to fill. We don’t do much fancy talking. We just show the quality of the welds and the thickness of the steel. It’s basic, solid work that keeps us going. We hope the furniture we make stays in people’s homes for a long, long time.
