More Gardens

If you head down the Pune-Solapur Road, you’ll find us right opposite the Shewalewadi Jakat Naka. We’re located at Manjari Farm. More Gardens is basically a place where we spend all day with dirt under our fingernails. It’s a large spot and there is always something that needs pruning or moving. We get a lot of people stopping by while they’re on their way out of the city. It’s a bit dusty because of the road, but we try to keep the plants looking decent. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s mostly just us and a few workers who know their way around a shovel. Sometimes the water supply is a bit finicky, so we have to manage with what we’ve got. We sell all sorts of things for gardens, but it’s mostly about what’s in season. If it doesn’t grow well here, we usually don’t stock it. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting pots and loading trucks in the sun. We’ve been here at this farm location for quite some time now. People know us as the place near the old toll post. We just try to keep things simple. If you want a plant, we help you find one that won't die the next day. It's just a regular local business run by people who like being outside. The mornings are the best part of the day before the heat kicks in.
