At the Ministry Of Defence over here in Kirkee, things move at their own pace. We are located at the office of Abhay Manglik, who is the Joint Director for Adgdc. If you know Pune, you know the Kirkee area has a lot of history with the military. Our building is right there in the middle of it with the pin code 411003. Most days, we are just busy with the usual paperwork and files that come with a government setup. It is not like a fancy corporate office with glass walls. We have old desks and heaps of documents. People come and go through the main gates all day. The weather in Pune stays mostly nice, but in the afternoons it gets a bit warm inside the office. We spend a lot of time checking details and making sure everything matches the records. There are a few tea stalls nearby where most of us go during the break. It is just a regular workplace where people do their jobs and wait for the weekend. We have been in this spot for a while now. You can see the military trucks passing by on the main road outside. Sometimes the internet is slow, but we manage to get the work done eventually. It is a quiet kind of busy here. We don’t really have a big sign outside, but everyone around Kirkee knows where the Adgdc office is located. It is a lot of routine, but we have got a good rhythm going.
