MINI TOOL ROOM

Our place, MINI TOOL ROOM, is located in the Satyam Industrial Estate, over in Erandawane. Specifically, we are at C-106. It’s a small space, but we fit a lot of equipment in there. The estate itself, at 163/164, is a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. Pune has grown so much around us, but this little corner of Erandawane still feels like the old industrial heart. We do tool and die work, which is mostly just us staring at metal and trying to make sure everything fits together perfectly. It’s a lot of manual labor and sitting at workbenches. The air always has a bit of a metallic tang to it. We aren't a giant factory; it’s more of a workshop vibe where everyone knows everyone else’s business. If a machine breaks down, we fix it ourselves usually. The light inside isn't always the best, but we have lamps over the benches where it matters. We don't have a website with fancy photos or a marketing person. Most people find us because they heard about us from someone else in the trade. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the weekend while we work. It’s not a complicated life. We come in early, do the work, and lock up when we're finished. The neighborhood has fancy cafes now, but we mostly stick to the local canteen. It’s just how things are for us here at Satyam.
