We are based out of Amboli in the Junnar area. Roopa Budha Kokane’s place is where we handle the paperwork and meetings. It is quite a drive from Pune city but the land here is what we know best. Most of us around here are from the tribal communities and we decided to get together as a farmer producer group. We spend most of our time in the fields. It isn't easy work but it is what our families have done for a long time. Some days are just about figuring out the seeds and other days we are worried about the rain. We don't have a big office with fancy chairs. It’s mostly just us sitting around discussing what crops to grow this season. Junnar is a good place for farming if the weather stays right. We handle the collection of what we grow and try to find a way to get it to the markets without losing too much money. It’s a lot of manual labor. There is no big marketing team here, just people who understand the soil. We started this company to help each other out because doing it alone was getting too hard.
