Mid Day News Paper

Our office is inside Sadanand Bungalow, right there in Tarde Colony. It’s a quiet part of Hingane Khurd in Pune, or at least it feels that way until the papers start moving. Being in a house rather than a big glass building makes the whole place feel a bit more relaxed. We have desks tucked into different rooms, and there’s always a pile of old newspapers somewhere in the corner. People come and go throughout the day, bringing in bits of news or just stopping by to talk about what’s happening in the city. Working in Pune means we deal with the local pace of life, which can be fast one minute and slow the next. Our address at 180 Sadanand Bungalow is pretty easy to find once you get into the colony. The staff here has been around for a while, so we all know each other’s habits, like who takes the longest tea break or who forgets to shut their computer down. We deal with a lot of ink and paper, so things can get a little messy on the tables. It’s not the most organized place, but we get the job done. Sometimes we just sit on the porch for a minute when the weather is nice before going back to the screens. It’s a steady kind of life, keeping track of things and making sure people have something to read.
