You can find us at 925/D/2 on FC Road in Shivajinagar. It’s a very busy part of Pune, and sometimes the noise from the traffic comes right through the windows. This is a small biotech team working in a modest lab space. It is nothing like those big corporate labs you see in movies. We have our benches and our microscopes and we just get on with it. The space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of equipment for such a small room. Hours are spent cleaning glass tubes and making sure everything is sterile. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we don't mind it. Shivajinagar is a great place to be because everything is close by, even if parking is a nightmare. Most people walking past the building probably don't even know we are in here doing science stuff. Although we are a private limited company, there are only a few of us on the staff. Everyone shares the work, whether it’s looking at plant cultures or just sweeping the floor at the end of the shift. No fancy lobby or a working coffee machine exists here. We just use the kettle in the corner. It’s a practical way to run a business. Focusing on the tiny details of the plants and cells is what we do. It’s quiet work in a loud city and we like it here.
