Mettle Innovations

This is our other spot in Erandwane at D 7. It’s a bit smaller than the other place but we use it for specific tasks. Usually, it’s just one or two of us here at a time. It’s quite tucked away, so it stays pretty peaceful throughout the day. We have some storage here and a couple of workstations that we use for the more technical parts of our projects. The walls are mostly bare, and the lighting is that bright fluorescent type that keeps you awake. We keep a stack of old journals and manuals on the shelf by the window. Sometimes the window sticks if you try to open it too wide. It’s a practical space. We don't have much furniture, just the essentials like chairs and sturdy tables. We spend a lot of time here checking over parts and making sure everything is aligned. It’s the kind of place where you lose track of time because there are no clocks on the wall. We just work until the job is done for the day. Sometimes we bring lunch and eat at the desk because there aren't many shops right next to this door. It's a simple setup. We like it because we can focus without many distractions. The door is a bit heavy and squeaks every time someone enters. We’ve been meaning to oil it but never get around to it. It’s just how things go when you’re busy with work. It serves its purpose well enough for what we need.
