Megie Saloon And Spa For Women is tucked away in Flat No 4 of the Maduban Complex. We are on Lane No 5 in Koregaon Park, which is a fairly well-known part of Pune. Being above the Canara Bank means you have to walk up some stairs to get to us. The flat has been converted into our workspace, so it still has a bit of a homey feel to it. The rooms are separate, which gives some privacy that you don't get in the bigger, open-plan shops. We have some old curtains that block the sun in the afternoons. Sometimes you can hear the muffled sounds of the bank customers downstairs or the traffic from the main road. The walls have a few scuffs here and there from moving equipment around. It’s not a perfectly polished place, but it works for what we do. We usually have a pot of tea going in the small kitchen area. The windows look out over the lane, and we often see the same people walking their dogs or heading to the cafes nearby. Koregaon Park can be quite loud and busy, but up here it stays relatively quiet. We just go about our business, keeping things organized as much as we can. It’s a simple setup without any unnecessary frills or expensive décor. We try to keep it comfortable for anyone who stops by, even if the stairs are a bit steep.
