Meera Furnishing

Our shop is at number 9 in the Audumber Apartment building on Paud Road in Kothrud. We have been in this part of Kalewadi for many years now. We sell all kinds of home furnishings like curtains, upholstery fabric, and cushions. The shop is quite packed with big rolls of cloth standing in the corners and sample books on the main table. It is a bit of a tight fit when we have a few customers inside at the same time. I spend my day showing people different colors and helping them decide what would look good in their homes. We don't have a big marketing team; most people just walk in because they live in the neighborhood. The street outside is always very busy with cars and buses, so we get a lot of dust coming in through the door. I have to wipe down the counters and the samples every morning. Sometimes we go out to people's houses to take measurements, which takes up a lot of our afternoon. We don't use any complicated sales talk or try to push people into buying things they don't need. If they like a fabric, they buy it. We just try to be helpful and keep the shop running smoothly. It is a family-run place and we have built a lot of good relationships with the regulars over the years. It is just a normal local business doing its thing.
