Mechon Global Marketplace

Mechon Global Marketplace is right at the Sainagar junction on Indapur-Baramati Street. It’s usually pretty loud around here with all the trucks passing through Tal-Indapur. We’ve been set up in this spot for a while now. Most days start with sweeping out the dust that blows in from the road. It’s a busy corner, which is good for seeing who’s coming and going. The office isn't much to look at, just a place to sit and keep our papers in order. We don't really do the whole fancy business thing. It’s more about just being here when someone needs something from the marketplace. Sometimes the fans don't work and it gets stuffy, so we just prop the door open with a brick. Life at the junction has its ups and downs, but we like the rhythm of it. If you’re heading towards Baramati, you can’t miss us. We keep a pot of tea on most of the morning for whoever stops by to chat. It’s not always about selling things; often we’re just talking about the local news or the weather. Dealing with all the different items in the marketplace keeps us on our toes. There’s always something to count or move around. We just try to keep things moving along without too much fuss. It's a simple way to spend the day and we've gotten used to the noise.
