Our consulting office is based in the Ramtekdi area of Hadapsar. It’s an area with a lot of workshops and small factories, so there’s a lot of grit and noise around us. Our workspace is very basic. We have a few long tables with computers and a lot of technical manuals stacked up in the corners. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find plush carpets or expensive coffee machines. We just have a simple kettle and some jars of tea and sugar. Most of our day is spent looking at technical data and working through various consultancy tasks. We are a small group and we’ve worked together for years, so we don't need a lot of rules or formal structures. If someone has a problem, we just huddle around a monitor and figure it out. The walls are mostly bare, except for a couple of charts we use for work. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so the ceiling fans are always on the highest setting. We aren't worried about making the office look fancy for visitors because most of our work happens behind the scenes anyway. It’s a practical, hardworking environment where we just get on with things. We like being in Hadapsar because it feels like a place where real things are being built and managed.
