Mauli Novelty

Mauli Novelty is at 6 Shubham Complex on Veer Savarkar Marg in Talegaon. Our shop is one of many in the complex but we like our little corner. Most days we are busy unpacking new boxes or just sweeping the front. The glass cases need cleaning every day because of all the fingerprints. Veer Savarkar Marg is quite a busy road and the traffic noise is constant. We don't have any fancy music playing, just the sound of the street and people talking. It gets a bit crowded in here when more than three people come in at once. We have a lot of small gifts and trinkets tucked into every shelf. Talegaon has a nice feel to it and we've gotten to know the regulars. We use an old wooden desk for the billing and it has a drawer that always sticks. We don't really do much in the way of promotion. We just put a few things out front and hope people like them. The lighting is okay but it gets dark in the corners. We sometimes have to use a stool to reach the top shelves. It’s a simple life running a shop like this. We enjoy the morning quiet before the rush starts. There’s always something to organize or a new item to find a spot for. We just keep at it day after day and hope everyone finds what they need. There's a tea stall nearby where we go when we need a break from the heat. The complex gets locked up tight at night. It's our routine.
