Mauli Hair Dressers

Mauli Hair Dressers has been at 42/2 Paud Phata for a good many years now. Being right on Karve Road in Erandwane, we see a lot of people passing by every day. We are quite close to the Bal Tarun Mandal, which is a big landmark for anyone living around Pune 411004. The shop itself is nothing too special to look at from the outside. It’s just a small space where we do haircuts and shaves for the local guys. I start my day early, usually before the traffic on Karve Road gets really bad. I like the quiet of the morning before the chairs start filling up. We have a few old mirrors and some basic tools that have served us well. The neighborhood has changed quite a bit since we first opened, with more shops and cars everywhere, but the way we cut hair hasn't changed much. People come in, tell us what they want, and we get to work. There’s a lot of talk about cricket or local politics while the scissors are moving. It’s a friendly enough place, I think. Most of our customers have been coming to us for years, even after they move to different parts of Pune. They just like the familiarity of Paud Phata. It’s just me and the other guys here, doing our best to keep everyone looking decent without making a big deal out of it.
