Down here at Bibwewadi 13, we run Maths Point. It is a small spot, nothing too flashy to look at from the outside. We basically just sit down with students and work through their math homework or help them get ready for their upcoming school tests. Math isn't everyone's favorite thing to do, we definitely get that. Most kids who walk in here would rather be anywhere else, but once they start getting the hang of the problems, they usually settle in quite well. We have got a few sturdy tables and some old chairs that have seen better days. It gets a bit crowded in the late evenings when the local schools let out. The address is pretty easy to find if you know the Bibwewadi area at all. We don't spend our money on big glowing signs or fancy flyers; word of mouth from parents usually does the trick for us. If you come by to visit, you might see us drinking a cup of tea between our sessions or sitting there grading some practice papers. We aren't trying to change the entire world, we are just trying to make sure the local kids don't fail their exams this year. It is a lot of repetition and practice, over and over again. Some days are quite long, especially around the finals week, but we have been at this long enough that it is just a normal routine now. We don't have a complicated teaching system. You come in, you sit down, and we do the work together. That is pretty much all there is to it. No hidden stuff, just math tutoring in a quiet corner.
