Mangalmurti Dryfruits

You can find us at the Power House Chowk in Chinchwad Gao. Our shop, Mangalmurti Dryfruits, is right in the middle of all the action in that area. We deal mostly in walnuts, almonds, cashews, and all those kinds of things that people like to keep in their kitchens for cooking or snacks. The shop always smells a bit like roasted nuts and raisins, which is something I’ve grown to really like over the years. We spend a lot of time sorting through the bags to make sure everything we put out on the shelves is good quality. It’s just a small local business, so we don’t have a huge staff or anything like that. Usually, it’s just me and maybe one other person helping out with the weighing and packing. Chinchwad Gao is a busy place, and Power House Chowk is a major landmark, so people find it easy to drop in while they are doing their other errands. We have a lot of regular customers who have been coming to us for years because they live nearby and know we are always here. The bins are always kept full, and we try to keep the prices fair so people keep coming back. It’s not a glamorous job, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing the shelves all lined up and ready for the day.
