Mainkind Crop Science Private Limited is located over in Shukrawar Peth. If you know Pune, you know that area is always moving and can be quite loud. We are in Vardhaman Heights, office number 303. It is a decent building, though finding parking around there can be a real headache most afternoons. We focus on crop science, which basically means we spend our time thinking about how to make farming a bit more reliable for the people who actually do it. We started this because we saw how much trouble some of the local growers were having with their yields. It is not an easy job, farming. We try to provide the right kind of help from our office here. It is a small setup. We have a few desks, some old files, and a lot of conversations about the weather and the soil. Sometimes it feels like we are just another office in the middle of a crowded city, but the work we do reaches out to the rural parts eventually. Shukrawar Peth is quite central, so it is easy for people to find us once they get past the traffic on the main road. We do not do anything too fancy. There are no big presentations or polished speeches. Just talking to people and trying to figure out what works for the crops. We have been at this 1328/29 address for a while now. It is a lot of hours, but it feels okay.
