Mainagiri Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Shri Sopan Kisan Kanwhar’s place over in the West Center part of Tamshi. We’re in Washim, zip code 444505, and if you know this area, you know it’s all about the crops. A group of us decided to get together because doing things alone as a farmer is just too difficult these days. We aren't trying to be some big city corporation with shiny windows. Mostly, we just sit around in the office or out back and figure out how to get better prices for what we grow. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of paperwork that honestly gets a bit confusing sometimes. But we manage. The West Center area is where we spend most of our time. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just have to wait it out, but that’s just life here. We’ve got some good people involved who actually know what it’s like to work the dirt. It isn’t always easy to get everyone on the same page, but we’re trying our best to make it work for the whole group. We keep our tools and some supplies here in Tamshi. It's a simple setup, nothing more than what we need to get the job done. We just hope the next season is a bit kinder to us than the last one.
