Mahesh Enterpries

Our shop is No 4 in the Vishwalaxmi Apartments, situated in Shaniwar Peth. We are right near the Shinde Par Chowk, which is a very old and busy part of Pune. Being on Survey No 351 means we are surrounded by a lot of history and a lot of people moving around constantly. The shop is small and packed with all sorts of things. We have been running Mahesh Enterpries for a while now, and it’s mostly about serving the people who live and work in the Peth area. It can be quite loud with the horns and the shouting from the market outside, but that’s just Shaniwar Peth for you. We keep things basic. A couple of shelves, a counter, and whatever stock we are moving that week. We don't believe in making the place look like a mall. It is a practical shop for practical needs. Most of our customers are neighbors or people who have been coming to us for years. We know their names and what they usually need. Sometimes the narrow lanes make it hard for deliveries to reach us, so we end up carrying boxes from the main road by hand. It is hard work, but it keeps the business going and keeps us connected to the neighborhood. We are just a local enterprise trying to do a decent job every day and stay part of this community for as long as we can.
