Maharaja Salons

Maharaja Salons is over at Anusaya Niwas, right in Shop No 1 on S R P Rd. Most folks know the area as Jagtap Chowk in Wanowrie. It is a busy little corner of Pune to be in. We have been cutting hair here for a good while and have seen plenty of people come and go. The shop isn't one of those high-end places you see in malls. It is just a regular room with mirrors and chairs where men come to get sorted out. On some afternoons, it’s just us and the radio, but then evening hits and the place fills up fast. You might have to wait a bit if you come during the rush, but that is how it is. We know the regulars by name and what they like, which makes the day go by faster. The floor gets covered in hair pretty quick, so we are always sweeping. Wanowrie is a lively part of town, and being near the chowk means there is always something happening outside the window. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It is a simple life running a salon here. We don't use fancy products or have a big team, just a few of us making sure everyone leaves looking a bit better than they did when they walked in. It is just a honest day's work in a neighborhood we know well and spend most of our time in.
