Mahalaxmi Super Shoppee

You can find us at Mahalaxmi Super Shoppee, located at Mit Corner in Sector 48 A. We are right opposite the State Bank in Koregaon Park. It is a very convenient spot for people who are coming or going from the bank. We stock all the daily essentials like pulses, soaps, and snacks. The shop isn't very large, so we have things stacked all the way to the top of the racks. I usually have to help people reach the items they want. The floor is made of simple grey tiles that we sweep several times a day because of the dust from the street. Koregaon Park can be a very busy area, but our shop feels like a quiet little corner for the neighbors. I don't have any fancy cooling systems, just a couple of wall fans that hum all day. We keep a small fridge for cold drinks and dairy products. Sometimes the crates of milk arrive late and I have to wait outside in the morning. I’ve known many of our customers since they were children. We don't use any fancy barcode scanners; I just remember the prices for most things. It's a bit old-fashioned but it works for us. The shop gets very busy in the evenings when people are heading home from work. We don't have any big sales or gimmicks. We just keep the shelves full and the door open.
