Mahalaxmi Plastics

The shop is located at Shukrawar Peth 753/1, which is a busy part of the city where people are always rushing about. At Mahalaxmi Plastics, we keep things pretty basic. We have rows of plastic buckets, mugs, storage bins, and all those little household items that everyone uses but nobody really thinks about. The space is a bit cramped because we try to fit as much as possible on the shelves. It’s mostly locals from the Peth area who come in. They want something durable that doesn’t cost too much. We spend our mornings unloading sacks of new goods and trying to find space for them. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back door, so we have to move things around. It isn't a fancy showroom at all. There is a lot of dust from the street, so we are always wiping things down. Dealing with customers takes up the whole day, especially the ones who like to talk for twenty minutes before buying a single plastic stool. We’ve been at this address for years, so we know the local rhythm. When the festivals come around, we get really busy with people looking for specific colors or sizes. It is just honest work. We open early and close when the street finally gets quiet. It is a lot of standing around, but that is just part of the job here and we don’t mind it much.
