Mahajan Classes

You’ll find Mahajan Classes at 599, Dattawadi, which is right near the Dattawadi Police Chowki. It’s a very local neighborhood spot. The building is a bit older, and we are on one of the floors with a few rooms dedicated to the classes. Having the police chowki nearby makes it easy to give directions to anyone who is coming here for the first time. The rooms are filled with rows of benches, and we’ve tried to cram in as many as we can without it becoming too uncomfortable. It gets pretty busy in the evenings when the school kids finish their day and come over here. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and checking notebooks. There is a small window in the main room that looks out over the street, and you can see the daily life of Dattawadi passing by. We don't have any big slogans or colorful posters on the walls. It’s mostly just schedules and maybe a list of names for the next test. The fans hum quite loudly, but they are necessary when the room is full. We’ve been here in this same spot for quite some time, so most of the families around here know who we are. It’s a quiet, practical kind of place. We don't try to make it anything more than what it is—a place to come and learn the subjects that you're struggling with at school. It’s just our daily routine.
